Basketbawful reader ari responded to today's Spurs-Lakers love post with the following comment: "You missed one crucial man love incident, but I couldn't find a picture for you. Duncan was close to getting a technical for arguing, and Pop came over and grabbed him by the front of his shorts, right on his junk, and pulled him away. If you could find this picture...oh man. Or maybe somebody recorded the game and could get a still shot? I think it happened in the 2nd quarter."

I knew exactly what ari was talking about, and I'd been looking for a picture -- with no luck -- all day. Then reader Trev stepped up to the plate and got me the money shot. Note that Timmy looks totally mesmerized. Could grabbing his junk be the secret to stopping him? Only Popovich knows for sure...

Trev also found a bigger, clearer picture of the incident on SpursTalk.com.

Timmy just has this "Don't look down, this isn't actually happening" thing going on. I bet Pops doesn't even know what he's grabbing.

During the game, they had that feature where they mic the coach and you can hear what he's saying.

they showed a clip of TD taking a shot at the top of the key with brent barry wide open on the left wing. next shot: popovich says to brent, AND I QUOTE: "pull your pants down if you have to. jump up and down to get his attention"

next shot: popvich to TD, quoted: "it's ok, you can't see the whole floor, that's why i told him to pull his pants down, maybe you'd notice him then"

if that's not man love worthy, i don't know what is, i cant find a youtube video but i'll look

Imagine if while doing this Pop actually had grabbed Duncan's junk and then used that to pull him away from the ref? I'd have to think that'd have been the funniest video of all time.

what? no comment about that absolutely bawful "draft" night?
i know you like the bulls, but this is just too unlikely to actualy happen. the wolves, sonics and even the heat got ripped .. let´s say the heat never ever deserved it for their 82-game-tanking, but still - maintain a low profile mr. stern & co

It's just luck, honestly. Unlikely teams getting the top pick has happened tons of the times in the past

Check out this headline. There goes the Celtics fo-fo-fo!!

Three cheers for the "genitals" label.

Deej, two things:

1. The fo-fo-fo got put away in Game 3 of the first round when Boston lost to Atlanta

2. Fo-fo-fo nowadays would just mean that you swept your way into the Finals. Ask the 1989 Lakers how important that is (although the 2001 Lakers might have a counter argument to make).

I don't understand. Is the point of the site not only to observe games from a different perspective than we get from ESPN, but also to point out homosexuality in sports? I don't understand. Is that part of the reason you watch the game? I guess I'll just watch gay porn tonight instead of basketball...
