Stick a fork in Jonathan Bender, he's done.

Swelling and cartilage loss in his knees has him looking at another MRI less than 3 weeks into the season. It's a shame, when healthy, the former lottery pick showed signs of becoming the next Brad Lohaus. Wouldn't that be awesome.

Bender joins the list of Pacers draft picks whose tenures were cut short due to freakish injuries: Steve Stipanovich's cursed knee...Shaq crushed Scott Haskin's leg...George McCloud broke his ankle while talking on the phone...

Someone in Toronto is smiling over this one. The Bender trade cost the Pacers Antonio Davis, who, at age 47, is still a better option.

Tombstone
Sorry Jonathan. It's over.
